If you are going to day dream, be sure to do it right.
Take a look all around you, everything that you see was once someone's idea before it became a reality. The device you are utilizing to read this article; cell phone, tablet or computer, they were all imagined before they became a reality.

As kids we imagined our future careers as medical professionals, law enforcement officials, performing artists, professional athletes, entrepreneurs, and educators to name a few. Those that remained focused on their dreams were more likely to accomplish them. Too many others stopped dreaming and utilizing the power of imagination at various stages in life. Give yourself permission to dream big again. Create a Vision Board to help manifest thoughts and inspirations that you focus on.
Purpose and Determination
Vision boards also known as Dream Boards are visualization tools that you create and display to help direct your focus daily. They allow you to see your dreams in front of you everyday. They are comprised of images, symbols and/or words that you select to best represent the dreams you want to come true.
There's no right or wrong way to assemble your board and there are definitely no rules.
" CREATE THE HIGHEST, GRANDEST VISION FOR YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE YOU BECOME WHAT YOU BELIEVE" by Oprah Winfrey. She believed and today she is one of the most successful and influential women in modern history.
Visualization is a powerful exercise that activates the brain to believe thoughts are a real experience. Dr. Abigail Brenner wrote "The subconscious mind is a programmable “hard drive”. The “programs” of our lives". "You can practice in your mind without ever doing the actions".
See the person you want to be and believe in yourself. The great fighter Muhammad Ali once said, " I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was ". When asked, "How many push ups he could do, he replied," I only count when it starts to hurt:. He also said, "Don't count the days, make the days count" . He made his days count by practicing to become a world renowned sports figure.

This was my first vision board. I have updated this board on 2 occasions and left blank spaces for additional updates.

Digital Dream Board App
Yes, there's an app for that. Here are a few:
- Pintrest
Before I learned about the apps I took a picture of my first completed vision board and saved it as my phone's screen saver.
Organize your images anyway you like and set aside a few minutes everyday to imagine you've already accomplished what is before you. Consistency and repetition are very important, you must allow yourself to experience the emotions and energy evoked by your images daily.
When you think about your dreams and they appear too grand or unattainable and making them a reality scares you that's confirmation your ideas are worth creating. You have to start somewhere, do something every day to make your dreams a reality.
To better understand the power of visualization be sure to read Dr. Brenner's article, "The Benefits of Creative Visualization" (Psychology Today).
