    Shortcuts fall into one of these distinct categories: Acronyms - Short words that are formed from the initial letters of other word that are pronounced as a separate word such as NASA.

    Initialisms- These are abbreviations formed from initial letters of words that are not pronounced as a word like DVD.Lastly, we have abbreviations which are shortened words or phrases.

    PDA- Public display of affection or Personal Digital Assistant

    Modern technology shortcuts are similar to shorthand with symbols like emoji's and syllable usage. instant message communication has been propelled to epic popularity among all ages. This has created the need for many of us to text through Short Message Service (SMS) for rapid means of communication. Instant messaging has a language of its own, here are a few examples:
